The Zone Training Team have been delivering qualifications throughout the Doon Valley & Ayrshire since 2003 and have currently moved into the South Lanarkshire area, however no matter where you live in Scotland we will be able to deliver the right course for your learning.

Courses—Read More
A1 Unit—Assessor Course: £300
This qualification is aimed at those who are working with SVQ candidates; a basic knowledge of SVQ’s and the relevant subject being assessed is required.
SVQ —Playwork Level 2: £1,100
Enables you to work under supervision planning and taking part in play and leisure activities for 4–16yr olds.
SVQ—Playwork Level 3: £1,300
This qualification is for playworkers who have some supervisory roles within their job description as well as planning and taking part in play and leisure activities for 4–16 yr olds.
SVQ—Children’s Care Learning & Development Level 2: £1200
If you are looking to work in a Nursery or child-care environment or if you are in employment and working under supervision and need a qualification then this course is and ideal starting point.
SVQ—Children’s Care Learning & Development Level 3: £1400
This qualification is suitable for candidates who hold the level II or who have experience in child care and work with minimum/no supervision.
SVQ— Health & Social Care Level 2: £750
This is suitable for those who are working in a variety of care and support roles in a wide range of settings.
SVQ— Health & Social Care Level 3: £877
This course is suitable for those who are working in a variety of care positions and who may have supervisory roles or worked unsupervised.
Child Care Cluster 1 & 2: £100
These are short learning byte courses that enable the candidate to get a taste of what is involved in Child care.
We also have access to all of Learndirect Scotland learning bytes—all of which are completed online.
Scottish Vocational Qualification
These are nationally recognised qualifications based on National Standards which are drawn up by people from industry and education. SVQ’s are generally work based, however if you are not in employment we will put you in a voluntary work placement for the length of your SVQ. Learners can work at their own pace with as much or as little support as they need. Qualifications are only assessment based so there is no exam at the end of the course. The level 2 is taken over 12mths and the level 3 is over 18mths however these can all be achieved in 5–6mths depending on the individual’s work ethic.
ILAs
Candidates can open their Individual Learning Account, if they are over 18 on benefit or earn £22,000 or less—they can get up to £200 which they can use towards their training.
Successful completion of the above SVQ’s will allow candidates to be registered with the Scottish Social Service Council at the appropriate level for their job roles.
Child care may be available whilst you study and discounts can be discussed on an individual basis.
